Allan Seltzer, Mortgage Consultant
Allan Seltzer is originally from Montreal, Quebec. In 1991, he and his wife Mindy decided to move to Vancouver to pursue new opportunities. Within a short while, Allan realized how lucky he was to have moved here and that Vancouver is the most beautiful place on the earth.
Allan worked with his dad for the first 12 years of his career. They had a sheet metal shop that manufactured garbage and linen chutes as well as compactors and containers for apartments, hotels and hospitals. In fact, they manufactured the linen chute in the Pan Pacific Hotel.
After Allan moved to Vancouver, he worked with Allied Engineering for 8 years as their Sales and Marketing Manager. He then left to pursue a career as a Mortgage Consultant. “It was the best career decision I have ever made,” says Allan. “Since the first time that I got the opportunity to help a couple be able to own a home, I knew that I had found a career that is very fulfilling.”
For the first 2 years Allan was in his home office. Since then he has shared an outside office with another Broker. Then they branched out on their own into the current Allan Seltzer Mortgage Team office on Horseshoe Way just south of the Ironwood Shopping Centre in Richmond, BC.
“When I am not at work,” says Allan, “my wife and 3 incredible children (Noah, Colin & Libby) are my number one priority.” Allan does however take a significant amount of time to contribute to our community as a volunteer. He has many years’ experience in Scout leadership. He has held several positions on the board of his children’s non profit school. “I truly feel we are privileged and need to give back to the community wherever possible.
